Instructs concerned to ensure power supply as per schedule

KULGAM, JANUARY 11: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan today chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the overall power scenario in the district.

During the meeting, the DC enquired about the availability and demand of power supply in the district.

The officers intimated the chair about the overall power supply status across the district and measures being taken by the department to better the transmission and distribution system and upgradation initiatives.

The DC impressed upon the officers to follow the curtailment schedule strictly and ensure power supply accordingly without distress/ unscheduled power cuts.

He also took a comprehensive review of the winter action plan of the department and instructed concerned to implement it in letter and spirit and also instructed for submission of daily reports of power provision/supply viz a vis schedule.

The DC directed for intensifying the enforcement drives against use of crude devices across the district.

ADDC, Showkat Ahmad Rather; JDP, Zahid Sajjad; Executive Engineers from KPDCL Kulgam, STD, Bijbehara and Project Division Anantnag-Kulgam, Project Manager PGCIL and AEEs besides other officers also attended the meeting.
