UDHAMPUR, JANUARY 08: District Development Council Chairperson Udhampur, Lal Chand, wrapped up the three-day tour covering the twin blocks of Chenani and Basantgarh.

During the comprehensive visit, he actively engaged with the local populace, attentively listening to a myriad of public issues and demands.

As a part of this inclusive approach, the DDC Chairperson conducted a grievance redressal camp at Panchayat Basht, Block Chenani, on the first day of the public outreach program.

The second day witnessed a public outreach program led by the DDC Chairperson at Panchayat Ghar Chakal.

Attended by BDC Chairman Kewal Singh Parihar, DDC member Ashri Devi along with local Sarpanches, Panches, and the general public from adjoining Panchayats, the gathering presented a plethora of public issues and demands. These concerns were thoroughly heard, prompting the DDC Chairperson to direct relevant officers to take immediate actions within defined timelines.

The emphasis was laid on spreading mass awareness to maximize the benefits of ty government schemes.

Gratitude poured from local representatives and prominent citizens, commending the DDC Chairperson for organizing such an impactful program in a remote area.

Later, the DDC Chairperson laid the foundation stone for a 35.0-meter span steel girder footbridge at Katli Manga over Ujjh river, a significant project under the Aspirational Block Development program. The ceremony witnessed the presence of BDC Chairman Kewal Singh Parihar, District Development Council member Ashri Devi as well as local Sarpanches, Panches, and the general public.

On the concluding day, the DDC Chairperson conducted a public outreach program at Middle School Manga, attentively listening to public issues and demands. The community raised several crucial issues, focusing on challenges related to electricity, water supply, road connectivity, etc. The DDC Chairperson assured the residents that their concerns would be addressed on a priority basis.

Additionally, the DDC Chairperson laid the foundation stone of the Odru Footbridge over Ujjh River at Panchayat Basantgarh, further emphasizing the commitment to uplifting the region’s infrastructure and connectivity.
