Police inaugurates Volleyball tournaments under Civic Action Programme in Anantnag

December 20: In a stride towards fostering community engagement and youth development, Police in Anantnag inaugurated two volleyball tournaments under the banner “Shaheed Himayun Sports Tournament” as part of the Civic Action Programme-2023. The tournaments, designed for both boys and girls, provided a robust platform for the youth of Anantnag District to showcase their talents and enhance their sports skills.

The first tournament, exclusively for boys, unfolded at the District Police Lines (DPL) Anantnag, while the second tournament, catered for girls, took place at Shri Ravi Ji Higher Secondary School Khanabal. These tournaments aimed to provide a platform for the youth of Anantnag District to showcase their talents and enhance their sports skills.

 

The initiative aligns with the overarching vision of the Civic Action Programme-2023, emphasizing the importance of community involvement and youth empowerment. These sporting events aimed to instill a sense of healthy competition, teamwork, and sportsmanship among the participants, contributing to the holistic development of the youth in the region.

 

Anantnag Police lauds the enthusiastic participation of boys and girls, making the tournaments a grand success. Police remains committed to organizing more such events, uplifting youth engagement and fostering a healthy sporting culture in the District.
