DODA DECEMBER 19: In a proactive step towards enhancing road safety, Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, along with SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom, conducted an inspection to oversee the installation of CCTV cameras in the commercial passenger vehicles, initiated by the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) in Doda, under the directions of Road Safety Committee Doda. The significant initiative focuses on equipping passenger vehicles with dash cameras to ensure the safety of travelers during their journeys.

The installation of dash cameras is part of a strict measure taken by the district administration Doda to address the issue of rash and careless driving by commercial drivers. This move aims to curb the prevalence of accidents and promote responsible driving practices. During the installation event, ARTO Doda, Rajesh Gupta, and officials from the Motor Vehicles Department were present to witness and support the implementation of this safety measure.

Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh expressed confidence in the effectiveness of this initiative in reducing accidents. He highlighted the significance of the dash cameras, stating that they would play a crucial role in tracing incidents of negligence by drivers, thereby preventing mishaps on the roads. The DC emphasized that such measures are essential for ensuring the well-being of passengers and fostering a safer environment for travel in the district.
