Kupwara, Dec 18: Special Cell for Women Kupwara in collaboration with National Rural Livelihood Mission Kupwara Block Sogam organised an awareness programme on Gender Based Violence at Cluster Centre NRLM Devar Lolab.
Resource persons shared information about gender based violence ant it’s advised participants to come forward to minimise violence and support the survivors of violence.
Centre Administrator SAKHI One Stop centre kupwara,Tabasum khan, aware participants about rights of women and advised them to stand up for their rights and report the same at the govt established institutions like one stop centre.
Social Worker Shameema Majeed spoked about Special Cell for Women and it’s Services.She advised participants to avail services of special cell for Women which are free and intervention is provided in confidential manner.
Social Worker from Special Cell for Women Majid Mir spoked about Gender Based Violence and various facets and available resources to tackle the the problem of violence.
He advised participants participants to come forward and help to stop violence against women.
He asked participants to call Special Cell for Women on 8899258738 in case of any help and share this help line number with other women.
