DODA, DECEMBER 16: Deputy Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh today chaired a District Level Technical Committee (DLTC) meeting at DC office to discuss the Scale of Finance (SoF) for the year 2024-25 (Kharif & Rabi) for all Agricultural crops including Horticulture Crops, Animal / Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries.

 

Chief Agriculture Officer, Anil Gupta, who is also Member Secretary of the Committee, presented the draft of the proposal. The meeting discussed different issues and the need for revision of the existing scale of finance in Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal and Sheep Husbandry, sectors for Kissan Credit Card (KCC) holders of the district.

 

The DC advocated for composite agricultural practices in unison with all the dealing departments for economic prosperity of the rural farming community. Introducing the latest technologies, high-end seeds, and scientific care of the crops/ farms is required to become self-reliant.

 

DC stressed on shifting to high density and improved variety of crops and Horticultural plants.

 

Among others, Chief Agriculture Officer Doda Anil Gupta (Member Secretary of the committee), Chief Horticulture Officer Doda, CAHO Doda, DSHO Doda, LDM Doda, AD Floriculture, Managing Director, Jammu Central Cooperative Bank (Convener of the Committee) and other concerned attended the meeting.
