“Swachhta Pakhwada Concludes: Sanitation Workers Honored for Promoting Cleanliness in Srinagar”

Swachhta Abhiyaan is a nationwide cleanliness campaign launched by the Government of India. Under this campaign, the Home Ministry was celebrating Swachhta Pakhwada from 1 December to 15 December 2023.

The campaign focuses on promoting cleanliness, hygiene and proper waste management practices across the country and encourages proper disposal of solid waste and adoption of hygienic habits.

In continuation of the said campaign, Swachhta Pakhwada was concluded today on 15/12/2023 under the leadership of Shri Rohitashwa, Commandant, 10th Battalion SSB Srinagar in which the sanitation workers of Srinagar Municipal Corporation were honored by presenting certificates and mufflers. All the sanitation workers of the Unit were also honored with cash rewards.

In the closing ceremony of this cleanliness campaign, all the officers, subordinate officers, personnel of the unit and Inspector (Sanitary) Aijaz Ahmad of Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) participated enthusiastically.

At the end, Commandant of 10th Battalion Shri Rohitashwa while giving a message to the society said that this initiative has made significant progress in improving sanitation and raising awareness about the importance of cleanliness. It reflects a collective effort to create a healthier and more sustainable living environment for all citizens.
