Tragic Samba Road Mishap Claims Lives of Newlywed Groom, his Friends

Samba, December 11 : In a tragic incident, a newlywed groom and his friend lost their lives in a road accident in Samba district on Sunday evening.

An official told the accident took place when a speeding trailer collided with their car on the Jammu Pathankot National Highway.

Upon receiving the information, the police promptly arrived at the scene and initiated a rescue operation using machinery. Unfortunately, by the time they arrived, both individuals had already lost their lives.

The deceased have been identified as Sushil, the groom and son of Man Sukh Dayal from Langath Nanak Chak, and Romi, son of Ashok Kumar from Badheri Nanak Chak Samba.

Sources told that Sushil had just gotten married the day before and was planning to celebrate his wedding party. The accident occurred as he and his friend were en route to pick up his wife from a private beauty parlor in Samba. (KS)
