SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 07: The Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri Thursday reviewed the progress on Comprehensive Sewerage Scheme in Zone-III of Greater Srinagar under Languishing Scheme of erstwhile JnNURM executed by H&UDD/UEED.

The meeting was attended by Chief Engineers of PHE, PWD Central, General Manager NBCC, officers of SMC and representatives of the area.

The meeting was informed that Trunk Sewer Line has been 99 percent completed while Lateral Sewer Line has been entirely completed, besides, 60 MLD STP is near completion with 98% work already done.

It was further informed that due to non-availability of fronts for Trunk Sewer Line at 90 feet road for shifting of 16 Shops & Re-Alignment of PHE pipes at Alamgari Bazar the remaining work is pending for completion.

On the occasion, Div Com directed concerned officers to speed up the execution of work so that the concerned area does not face inconvenience due to water logging.

He enjoined the concerned to make arrangements for providing electricity to ensure the operation of the STP.

He also instructed for the completion of the rehabilitation process of shopkeepers so that the remaining segment of Sewer Line is completed.
