People encouraged to take benefits of Job oriented, welfare schemes

RAMBAN, DECEMBER 05: Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) on Tuesday visited eight Panchayats of block Ramban to sensitize the people, besides saturating the Centrally Sponsored Schemes in every nook and corner of the district.

IEC Vans accorded a rousing welcome by PRIs, senior citizens, youth, and local residents on its arrival in eight Panchayats. Under the aegis of Deputy Commissioner, officials engaged people with knowledge enriching audio-video material displayed on big screen mounted on IEC Van.

On the Eighth day, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) campaign traversed Panchayat Dhandrath- C, Dhandrath- B, Seri- A, Gam, Seri-B, Maroge, Bagna and Balihote- A in district Ramban. Started on November 28, the Yatra has gained further momentum across Ramban by covering 63 Panchayats of the district.

The people from all walks of life participated in different activities in their respective panchayats. They listened attentively to recorded video messages from the Prime Minister, emphasizing the significance of the campaign.

Pertinently, the Yatra aims to reach out to the unserved population, making them aware of various Government schemes such as Jal Jeevan Mission, Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Jan Dhan Yojana, PM Awas Yojana, PM Kisan Saman Yojana, Jeevan Joti Bima Yojana, along with the process to avail benefits.

During the day, Health camps, Sankalp pledges, and outreach activities were organized, besides services were made available on-the-spot to the common masses.

Beneficiaries, who have availed services, also expressed their experiences under Meri Kahaani, Meri Zubaani initiative and extended their gratitude for the seamless services delivery.

The activities that were carried out included awareness lectures on various Government welfare schemes by resource persons, Viksit Bharat Sankalp pledges, free medical camps, and Cultural and sports events were also organized on the occasion. Various welfare, employment, insurance, social security and income generation based schemes were highlighted by all departments who had established their departmental stalls.

Tehsildar Ramban, S. Harvir Singh, BDO, Tanzeel Runyal and various other officers participated in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in different Panchayats of Block Ramban

Block officers and officials from line departments, PRIs, students and locals participated in large numbers in Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra programmes in aforesaid Panchayats.
