SHOPIAN, DECEMBER 05: The District Hub for Empowerment of Women (DHEW) Shopian under Mission Shakti today organised an awareness programme regarding ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’, an initiative towards empowerment of girls through education at Government Higher Secondary School Ramnagri Shopian.
The programme was attended by Teachers, students, AWWs, Asha workers, sarpanches, panchs, social activists and local women of the village.
DHEW officials delivered awareness on women’s role in society and encouraged the Women to fight against all the odds of the society.
The speakers and community leaders shared their insights and stories to motivate the young girls and encouraged them to pursue their dreams by venturing into different career fields.
The speakers emphasised that every girl deserves a fair chance at education and a prosperous life.
