DC Srinagar finalizes arrangements for smooth conduct of JKSSB Panchayat Secretary written Examinations

Over 7200 candidates appearing in the exam at 14 designated centres across District

SRINAGAR DECEMBER 05:- In connection with the forthcoming examination for the posts of Panchayat Secretary being conducted by Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) on December 10, 2023, a review meeting was held under the Chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Aijaz Asad here at Meeting Hall of the DC Office Complex.

At the outset, the Deputy Commissioner held a detailed discussion regarding the arrangements to be put in place for the smooth conduct of the JKSSB forthcoming OMR bases Panchayat Secretary written examination.

The DC was informed that as many as 7211 candidates are expected to appear in the Panchayat Secretary examination at 14 designated centers across the District.

On the occasion, the DC stressed the all concerned to ensure that adequate arrangements for proper heating, drinking water, sanitation, lighting and other basic amenities are in place for the seamless conduct of the Panchayat Secretary Examination.

The DC directed for deployment of sufficient number of Magistrates to ensure smooth and hassle free conduct of JKSSRB examination.

The DC asked the Traffic Police Department to ensure an efficient traffic management system and adequate parking facilities in and around the designated examination centres on the examination date and time. While the Police authorities were asked to ensure adequate deployment of Police personnel for escort of examination material and ensuring smooth conduct of the examination.

Likewise, the Power Development Department was asked to ensure uninterrupted power supply at the Centres on the said date.

The DC also laid emphasis on ensuring proper heating arrangements at the Exam Centres keeping in view the cold winter conditions.

Besides, Additional Deputy Commissioners Srinagar, Syed Shabir Ahmad, the meeting was attended by Heads of various City Colleges, representatives of various Higher Secondary Schools, Officers from JKSSRB other concerned.
