Bijhama, Baramulla: The successful conclusion of the District Table Tennis Championship was organized by the District Table Tennis Association at SRM Welkin School in Sopore. The spotlight shines on the exceptional achievements of the players from Govt Higher Secondary School Bijhama, who exhibited outstanding performances throughout the event. In the Boys’ Under 19 category, Saqib Hamid Mugal from Govt Hr Sec School Bijhama have secured his spots in the highly anticipated finals, showcasing their prowess on the table. Equally impressive is Uzma Hamid, who demonstrated exceptional talent and resilience, earning her place in the Girls’ Under 19 category finals. Suha khan from Hss bijhama also got first spot in the Girls’ Under 14. A special mention goes to Afroza Gilani and Adil Aslam who has exhibited remarkable skills and remained as runners-up in the finals.These accomplished players, along with their teammates, will proudly represent their district in the upcoming Inter-Division Championship scheduled to commence on December 2nd, 2023, in Jammu at the state level. Also Mr. Kashif Ahmad Khan (P.ET), a veteran player, performed in the championship and won final of the veteran category. The championship was won by HSS Bijhama by bagging six trophies out of ten. The coach of the team Mohd Sultan Najar from HSS Bijhama congratulated the whole team for their excellent performance. Special thanks and credit was given to the Principal HSS Bijhama, Mr. Javid Ahmad Lone, for his unwavering support in nurturing such exceptional talent by Coach and participants.
