SAMBA, NOVEMBER 26: District Election Officer Samba, Abhishek Sharma today convened a meeting to review the status of Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) at all the polling stations and on going Special Summary Revision (SSR) with January 1, 2024 as the qualifying date.

The meeting was attended by ACR Samba, SDM Ghagwal, SDM Vijaypur, XEN PWD PHE PDD, CEO Samba,CEO Municipal Council Samba, EO Bari Brahmana, EO Vijaypur, Election Officials and other officers.

The District Election Officer directed the concerned officers to ensure that all the polling stations are equipped with the AMF such as ramps, drinking water, toilets, electricity, furniture, etc. He also asked them to identify and rectify any deficiencies in the AMF at the earliest.

He further stressed on the need to achieve 100 percent registration of eligible voters and purification of electoral roll in the process of SSR 2024. He instructed the officers to conduct intensive awareness campaigns and special camps to enroll the left out voters, especially the first time voters, women, senior citizens and persons with disabilities. He also emphasised on the use of online facilities such as NVSP portal and Voter Helpline App for voter registration and verification.

He urged the officers to work with utmost dedication and coordination to ensure free, fair and peaceful elections in the district. He also appreciated the efforts of the election staff for their hardwork and sincerity.
