DLSA Gbl organises Awareness program on Constitutional values, fundamentals of Indian Constitution

GANDERBAL, NOVEMBER 22: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Ganderbal today organised an awareness programme on constitutional values and fundamentals of the Indian Constitution and Reading of Preamble at Vijay Memorial School Ganderbal.

The programme was held under the guidance of Member Secretary, J&K Legal Services Authority, Amit Gupta and under the chairmanship of the Principal District and Sessions Judge, Ganderbal, Ritesh Kumar Dubey and under the active guidance of the Civil Judge (Sr. Division) /Secretary, DLSA Ganderbal, Nusrat Ali Hakak.

The programme was held in view of the upcoming constitutional day falling on 26th of November 2023 and the programme witnessed the presence of Secretary DLSA Ganderbal, Nusrat Ali Hakak, along with Legal Assistant Gulafroz Khan, teachers, students, of Vijay Memorial School, and para-legal volunteers of DLSA Ganderbal.

The highlight of the programme was the reading of the preamble and to spread awareness on constitutional values and fundamentals of the Indian Constitution, in which all the participants participated actively.

The programme raised awareness about the significance of the Constitution and its role in shaping the nation’s governance system.

Speaking on the occasion, the Secretary of DLSA said that Constitution Day holds immense significance as it reminds us of the values enshrined in our Constitution. It is crucial for every citizen, especially the younger generation, to understand and uphold these principles, she added.

The programme emphasized the importance of understanding the fundamental rights and duties enshrined in the Constitution, as well as promoting legal awareness among the students. It was an opportunity for the students to reinforce their commitment towards upholding the principles of justice, equality, and democracy.
