Special SSR camps held across district Ramban

RAMBAN, NOVEMBER 19: As part of Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls, Special camps were today conducted across district Ramban here under the supervision of the District Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner), Baseer-Ul-Haq Chaudhary.

On the directions of District Election Officer (DEO), Electoral Registration Officer, (ACR) Giasul Haq and Deputy District Election Officer, Lal Chand conducted an extensive tour of AC-54-Ramban to take stock of progress on registration of eligible voters at the Special Camps organized at Polling Stations across the district.

During the tour, they inspected Polling Station No, 148, 154, 155, 157 159, & 160 and Polling Stations 29, 50, 51, 80, 81, 83, 86, 93, & 94 of AC-54 Ramban and AC-55-Banihal respectively.

During his visit the Dy. DEO interacted with BLOs and instructed the BLOs to ensure 100% enrollment of new and eligible voters during this special summary Revision.

Interacting with the BLOs at the camps, they instructed them to ensure the cent per cent registration of eligible voters falling under the jurisdiction of their respective Polling Stations. They also instructed them to conduct house to house visits to identify the unregistered eligible youth as voters with special focus on bridging the gender gap, besides mapping up of PwD voters.

Sensitizing the people with regard to registration of unregistered eligible youth as voters, they also appealed to them to cooperate with the BLOs of their respective areas.

Similarly, the Electoral Registration Officer, and Assistant Electoral Registration Officers of AC-55-Banihal and AEROs of AC-54-Ramban along with Election Naib Tehsildar Mohan Lal also visited various Polling Stations and took stock of the electoral registration process at the Polling Stations.
