REASI, NOVEMBER 16: The fifth phase of transformative ‘Back to Village’ Programme witnessed overwhelming public response which resonated throughout Reasi district.

Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Jal Shakti, Shaleen Kabra, Visiting officer and Mentor Secretary for Reasi, held extensive interactions with Panchayati Raj Institution (PRI) members and various line departments at Panchayat Sool.

ACS participated in the Gram Sabha session and inspected stalls established by different departments for public awreness regarding their respective schemes. He had detailed feedback from the PRIs and general public regarding implementation of government schemes in the area. He took stock of ongoing developmental projects besides assessing the impact of flagship initiatives.

Shaleen Kabra inaugurated a link road from Pamote to Dharote, constructed with an estimated cost of Rs 87.30 lakh.

Similarly, various Panchayats witnessed inauguration of projects, sports and cultural events, plantation drives, Gram Sabhas, inspections of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) and other development works. The interactions spanned diverse facets, including engaging with farmers, visiting Anganwadi centers and other government institutions besides and conducting awareness sessions on Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan.

Furthermore, Shalin Kabra distributed land passbooks, Swamitva property cards and other documents.

District Development Commissioner, Vishesh Mahajan, ACD Anirudh Rai, SDM Katra Deepak Dubey, SE JAL Shakti Department, Executive Engineers Jal Shakti and PWD Katra, BDO Panthal and other district officers were present on the occasion.

This holistic approach underscores the program’s dedication towards grass-root development and community empowerment, creating a meaningful impact across Reasi district.
