PULWAMA, NOVEMBER 14: Member of Parliament (MP) for Anantnag Lok Sabha Constituency, Justice (Retd.) Hasnain Masoodi today took charge of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting at Circuit House Pulwama.

The gathering aimed to meticulously evaluate the advancement of diverse development and welfare programs in the district.

Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom along with other district and sectoral officers, warmly welcomed Member Parliament to the meeting. The Chief Planning Officer (CPO) delivered a concise overview of ongoing projects across various sectors, highlighting achievements, initiatives, and best practices.

Justice (Retd.) Masoodi conducted a comprehensive department-wise review, underscoring the imperative to address habitations not yet covered in projects like R&B and PMKSY.

In the context of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM), there was a strong emphasis on ensuring access to clean water for every household. The health department’s review underscored the critical need for enhanced healthcare services, while the agriculture and horticulture departments were urged to prioritize benefits for farmers. Similar attention was given to departments such as power and social welfare.

Deputy Commissioner Pulwama assured the MP of swift progress on development projects, with a commitment to bridge gaps and prioritize public facilitation.

Commending the District Administration for noteworthy improvements in social, economic, and development indicators, Justice Hasnain Masoodi (Retd.) addressed the drug issue. DC Pulwama highlighted the operational drug rehabilitation center and ongoing awareness programs, expressing commitment to creating a ‘Nasha Mukht Pulwama’.

The meeting concluded with DC Pulwama, expressing dedication to implementing directives for enhanced scheme outcomes and assurance of adherence to all discussed strategies.
