DC Poonch hands over keys of vehicles to MUMKIN scheme beneficiaries

POONCH, NOVEMBER 04: The Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yaseen M. Choudhary today handed over the keys of 10 commercial passenger subsidized vehicles to the unemployed youth of district Poonch under MUMKIN-a livelihood generation scheme of mission youth here at a simple function held in the district employment and counseling centre.

The Deputy commissioner, who is also the chairperson of the District Level Implementation Committee (DLIC) while complementing the beneficiaries emphasized upon them to work with passion and dedication to earn a decent livelihood with dignity. He said that such government schemes aim to empower the unemployed youth by providing them assistance and opportunity to ensure viable opportunities for their livelihood.

The event was also attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Poonch, Sandesh Kumar Sharma Cluster Head J&K Bank Poonch, Lead bank Manager Poonch and other officers from district Poonch.

The Deputy Commissioner directed concerned officers to bring more unemployed youth under the ambit of employment generation schemes.

Later, Deputy Director Employment Mohammad Rafiq appraised the Deputy Commissioner and others about the scheme and progress achieved so far under the MUMKIN scheme.
