Delegation Led by Vinay Sahasrabuddhe Received Warm Welcome by Local Officials and Save Sharda Committee Members

Teetwal, Karnah Kashmir : President of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and former Member of Parliament, Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, along with Naitik Muley and Saral Sharma, embarked on a significant cultural and heritage visit to the Sharda Temple, located near the Line of Control (LoC) in Teetwal, Kashmir. The distinguished delegation was received with warmth and enthusiasm by Shakti Vijay Brigade Brigadier NK Das ,the Commanding Officer Reshmar Reigment and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Karnah Dr GA Rather, as well as members of the Save Sharda Committee.
As a symbol of their appreciation for the delegation’s visit and their efforts in preserving the heritage of the Sharda Temple, the Save Sharda Committee Kashmir (Registered) presented Mr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe with a book on Sharda authored by Ravinder Pandita, who serves as the Head of the committee. In addition, the delegation was honored with a Sharda shawl and a portrait of Sharda Peeth in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
Mr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, visibly impressed by the remarkable work undertaken by the Save Sharda Committee, praised their unwavering dedication to the reclamation of this significant cultural heritage. He highlighted the importance of preserving historical sites like Sharda Temple, which holds immense historical and spiritual significance for the people of the region.
Ravinder Pandita, Head of the Save Sharda Committee, expressed his gratitude to the delegation over a phone call as they are currently on a borderless tourism study in two border districts of Kashmir. He conveyed his deep appreciation for their support and interest in the preservation of Sharda’s heritage.
The visit of President ICCR Vinay Sahasrabuddhe and his delegation serves as a testament to the ongoing efforts to restore and protect the rich cultural and historical heritage of the Sharda Temple, fostering greater cultural understanding and cooperation in the region.
