Young Minds, Strong Commitment: DLSA Srinagar & GBHSS Mujgund, Srinagar celebrate UT Foundation Day

SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 31: The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Srinagar, in collaboration with the Government Boys Higher Secondary School (GBHSS) Mujgund, Srinagar today organized a mega function to celebrate Union Territory (UT) Foundation Day.

The grand celebration held under the aegis of the Jammu & Kashmir Legal Services Authority, brought together an esteemed gathering of dignitaries, legal luminaries, students, and volunteers to commemorate the significance of this day.

The event was organized under the able guidance of Jawad Ahmed, Chairman DLSA (PDJ) Srinagar.

The event was enriched by the presence of Mohammad Yousuf, Principal, GBHSS Mujgund, Srinagar; Sohaila Ali, a renowned Penal Lawyer of DLSA Srinagar, the Teacher Incharge of the Legal Literacy Club Shahnawaz, teaching and non-teaching staff of the institute. Her presence was instrumental in imparting knowledge and inspiring the students to become informed and responsible citizens. T

The celebration witnessed active participation of students from the Government Boys Higher Secondary School, Mujgund, Srinagar, who showcased their eloquence and insight in a captivating Debate Competition. The students passionately highlighted the positive changes that have taken place in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir post-2019 and emphasized the importance of a corruption-free society. Their speeches were a testament to the power of youth in shaping the narrative of the future.

In recognition of their exceptional performance, the students were felicitated with certificates, a token of appreciation for their commitment to the cause and their remarkable and sharp debating skills.

The event was not only about celebration and recognition but also about taking a solemn pledge. The participants, along with the staff members of the institute, DLSA Srinagar, and Paralegal Volunteers of DLSA, vowed to work relentlessly to make Jammu and Kashmir a region free from substance abuse and poverty. The pledge symbolizes their commitment to building a better, prosperous, and harmonious future for the UT of Jammu & Kashmir.

The UT Foundation Day celebration, with its impressive turnout and impactful activities, reaffirms the commitment of the District Legal Services Authority, Srinagar, and its partners to empower the youth and create a brighter future for Jammu and Kashmir.
