BANDIPORA, OCTOBER 26: Continuing ongoing celebrations of UT Foundation Day, Block Arin of District Bandipora Friday witnessed a range of activities including Gram Sabhas, cleanliness drives and plantation drives besides painting competitions.
On the occasion, Gram Sabhas were held which served as a platform for locals to come together, discuss important issues, and chart a collective vision for their panchayats.
In addition to the Gram Sabhas, Arin Block was abuzz with enthusiasm as cleanliness drives took place in all panchayats. Dedicated volunteers, in collaboration with local authorities, rolled up their sleeves to clean streets, public spaces, and water bodies.
Furthermore, a massive plantation drive was executed across all panchayats within Arin Block. Saplings of various indigenous tree species were planted, contributing to the preservation of local ecosystems, while simultaneously enhancing the natural beauty of the region.
The painting competitions were also conducted on the occasion, wherein students from different schools participated. The painting competition added an artistic dimension to the celebration, further emphasizing the holistic development and expression of talent within Arin Block.
The participation of residents, government officials, and volunteers expressed the spirit of unity and collaboration that defines the Union Territory. Among others, BDC Arin, Block Development Officer Dr Shariq Iqbal was also present on the occasion.
