The Social Welfare Department of Baramulla organized a one day tour to Mansbal Park for approximately 55 senior citizens from the Zaingeer belt of north Kashmir.

The aim of this tour was to provide the elderly citizens with a moment of happiness and an opportunity to reconnect with nature.

During the tour, the senior citizens, seizing the opportunity, showcased their talents by captivating the park visitors with an enthralling performance of Baand Pather.

This traditional folk theatre form, known for its energetic and comical acts, added an extra dose of enjoyment to the outing.

TSO Fayaz Ahmad, while speaking to the media, expressed his delight at seeing the senior citizens come together and enjoy themselves in one place. He emphasized the importance of providing moments of happiness to individuals in their old age.

The primary objective of this initiative was to give the senior citizens something to cheer about, allowing them to share their experiences and create lasting memories within a supportive community.

As part of the tour, the Social Welfare Department organized a special lunch and tea for the participants, ensuring their comfort throughout the day.

The senior citizens expressed their gratitude to the Social Welfare Department especially TSWO Fayaz Ahmad Lone for organizing this wonderful outing, acknowledging it as a significant step towards their overall well-being.

The tour not only provided them with a memorable experience but also served as a reminder that they are valued members of society who deserve care, respect, and opportunities for enjoyment, even in their golden years.
