This action was instigated following an inquiry led by the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, which revealed that the crusher unit in question had been erected on state-owned land. Consequently, a closure order was issued in line with the findings of the inquiry.

In addition to the closure of the crusher unit, penalty notices have been issued to five other crusher units, with the intent of ensuring their strict compliance with mining regulations.

Moreover, the District Mineral Officer (DMO) has taken the step of issuing cancellation notices to mineral dealer license holders, to preserving the integrity of mining operations within the district.
