KUPWARA, OCTOBER 20: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan today convened a maiden meeting of District Grievance Redressal Committee for Ayushman Bharat PMJAY-SEHAT to review the progress of grievance redressal mechanism in the district.

On the occasion, Chief Medical Officer Kupwara gave a detailed powerpoint presentation regarding the mechanism of grievance redressal. He informed the chair that the nature of the grievances monitored by the Health department include Out of Pocket Expenditure, Denial of Treatment, Misbehavior/ Misconduct, Denial of Medicine, Wrong/ Improper Treatment and Technical Issue.

The sources of online grievances being received include Central Grievance Redressal & Management System (CGRMS), JKIGRAMS, CPGRAMS, besides, grievances are also received from other sources like Email, letter and 104 Call Center of NHA.

On the occasion, the DC took review of disposal of various grievances redressed by the Health department and directed the concerned officers to ensure time bound and quality disposal of the grievances.

The DC also reviewed the status of patient feedback of different hospitals in the district and impressed upon the Health officers to maintain quality standards of health care services in their hospitals.

The meeting was attended by CMO Kupwara, Medical Superintendent District Hospital, MS-SDH Kupwara and other concerned.
