Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir – In a heart-stopping incident, an Alto Car bearing registration number JK09B 6829 narrowly avoided tragedy when it suddenly caught fire with a deafening explosion on the Karnah Kupwara road. Fortunately, no human losses or injuries were reported, and the driver, identified as Altaf Ahmad Shah, son of Mohd Yousf of Chamkote Kupwara, was safely rescued by vigilant locals.
The incident unfolded at Sadna Top on the Karnah Kupwara road, as the Alto Car was stationary. Without warning, the vehicle became engulfed in flames, and billowing smoke filled the air. The source of the explosion remains under investigation.
Local heroes sprang into action, swiftly pulling Mr. Altaf Ahmad Shah from the blazing car, ultimately saving his life.
