RAJOURI, OCTOBER 14: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today presided over a momentous occasion as he inaugurated a Divisional Level inter-district Kabaddi tournament for girls under fourteen years.

Among others who were present on the occasion were the CEO Education, Sultana Kouser, DYSSO Sunil Samyal besides other officials from the DYSS.

The tournament marks a significant step in promoting physical activity and competition among girls, with Kabbadi being the chosen medium for their talent and vigor.

Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal, addressing the attendees, expressed his best wishes to all the participating teams, applauding their dedication and spirit for the sport.

He emphasized the grave issue of drug abuse in society and the critical role that sports can play in eradicating this menace. He took a moment to educate the youth about the pernicious effects of drug addiction, urging them to choose the path of sports as a healthy alternative.

A significant highlight of the event was when all the participants pledged their commitment to taking an active part in games and sports, recognizing the transformative potential it holds in steering young minds away from the allure of drugs. Furthermore, a solemn pledge was taken by all attendees, reiterating their resolve to contribute to a “Nasha Mukt Bharat” (Drug-Free India).
