GANDERBAL, OCTOBER 14: In a significant effort to create employment opportunities, the District Employment and Counseling Centre (DE&CC) Ganderbal is organizing a mega job fair on October 21, 2023.

This initiative comes under the umbrella of “Berozgar Mukt Ganderbal,” a campaign aimed at making Ganderbal unemployment-free.

In this regard a meeting was chaired by Additional District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani in the Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat Ganderbal.

A diverse range of government departments will actively participate in this event, making it a comprehensive platform for job seekers to explore various career opportunities.

During the meeting it was revealed that around 15 reputed employers from different sectors are expected to grace the event, offering over 250 job openings to the aspiring youth of Ganderbal.

This mega job fair anticipates the participation of over 7000 unemployed youth from the district. By bringing together both sides of the employment spectrum, the event aims to foster economic growth and stability in the local community.

During the meeting detailed discussion was also held on shifting of official work to e-Office. Comprehensive directions were issued to various government departments to maintain a high level of organization within their respective offices.

To foster a conducive environment for both employees and visitors, Officers were directed to keep their offices clean and orderly. Additionally, specific instructions were given to identify scrap materials and maintain accurate records in compliance with the GFR 2017.

Additionally, the efficient management of public grievances and the systematic handling of files were highlighted as crucial aspects of office operations.

In view of approaching winter, the meeting also discussed disaster and snow clearance plans. Directions were given to different departments to proactively prepare and strategize for potential emergencies, underscoring the commitment to the safety and well-being of the local community.

The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mehraj-u-Din Shah, ACR, CPO, CEO WMDA, SDM Kangan, ACD, DFO Sindh Forest Division Ganderbal, AD Employment and other district and sectoral officers.
