ADC Shopian discusses Land Acquisition Process for NH-444

SHOPIAN, OCTOBER 12: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Shopian, Dr. Zakir Hussain Faaz today visited various areas of Shopian and held a meeting with the people of Aglar, Arhama, Pinjoora, Bongam, Hergam, laragam, Lawahind, GP Arshi, Sharatpora and Dashipora at Government High School Pinjoora and Government Primary School Sharatpora Shopian and interacted with them with regard to land acquisition process for NH-444.

The National Highway-444 is an alternate Highway to NH-44. It starts at Qazigund in Jammu and Kashmir and ends in Srinagar, passing via District Kulgam, Shopian and Pulwama.

The steps required for removing the bottlenecks and compensation for land of people of these areas coming under land acquisition process was discussed in detail for its timely completion.

During the discussion, ADC heard the views of people of these areas patiently who also put forth their genuine demands, including, enhancement of land compensation and other issues of public importance of these areas.

During his visit, ADC also inspected some spots of N. H. 444 to take stock of the acquisition of land process and met with some prominent citizens there.

He stated that NH-444 has significant importance and the people of these areas should come forward and put forth their genuine issues before the administration for its early redressal.

Tehsildar, Shopian, Naib-Tehsildars and other revenue officers and officials were present.
