Sanjay Saraf started Anti-Drugs campaign from Ghanta Ghar in srinagar

SRINAGAR, Oct 2: With an aim to spread awareness about the menace of drug abuse in the valley, a drug awareness Rally was organized by Kadal Foundation from the city’s historical clock tower, Lalchowk Srinagar. Terming drugs as a poison against the society, Rashtriya Lok Jan Shakti Party National General Secretary Sanjay Saraf on Monday launched an anti-drugs drive from Historical Ghanta Ghar in Lalchowk of Srinagar

Apart from children and people of different shades of society, the workers of their party also participated in the rally. The participants were holding banners and placards with anti-narcotics inscriptions, while they were also chanting “Get off drugs from Kashmir ”. Later, the rally ended in Habakadal of the city.

Addressing the rally, Sanjay informed the people about the implications of drugs and the resulting destruction of the young generation, urging them to keep their children away from this poison. Saraf advised parents to take care of their children. While talking to reporters on the sidelines of the rally, he also appealed to Islamic scholars and leaders of other religions, intellectuals to play their role in eradicating drugs and keeping the young generation away from it. Saraf said that there is a need to crack down on drug dealers in every part of Jammu and Kashmir to destroy their network. He said that this matter needs to be understood and dealt with above politics, religion, sect and race so that this poison can be eradicated from the land of Sufis and saints.

“I don’t have any political motive behind highlighting the issue of drugs, I only want the betterment of our youth and that they should live healthy lives,” Saraf said.
