ADDC administers Non-Violence Pledge

Mega function was held at the new conference hall of Mini Secretariat Kulgam to commemorate the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
The event was presided over by the Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kulgam, Showkat Ahmad Rather.
Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC highlighted the vision of Gandhiji including non-violence. He said that his teachings of swadeshi have been transformed into Atmanirbhar Bharat which aims at making the country self-sustaining and self-generating.
He said Mahatma Gandhi was a great believer in equality of human beings without discrimination of any kind.
Cleanliness, according to him, was what everyone should practice in their life, added ADDC.
During the celebrations, Gram sabhas for formulation of plan for the year 2024-25 was also launched.
Later, the ADDC administered Non-Violence Pledge among the participants.
ADC Viqar Ahmed Giri, Joint Director Planning, ACR, ACD, ACP, CEO, CAO and other officers and officials attended the programme.
