JAMMU, OCTOBER 01: In a demonstration of commitment towards cleanliness and community service, Commissioner Secretary Cooperatives, Yasha Mudgal, today joined a spirited gathering of government officers, officials, cooperative society members and volunteers at the Cooperative Complex, Bantalab here.

The event was organized as part of Swachhata Pakhwada – Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2023, a nationwide cleanliness drive, in honor of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary on 2nd of October.

The occasion witnessed active involvement of Officers from the Cooperative Department, including Dr. Narupa Rai, Additional Registrar Cooperative Societies Jammu, Champa Devi, Joint Registrar (Audit) Jammu, and Sonali Arun Gupta, Joint Registrar (Special) Jammu, alongside numerous dedicated officers and staff members.

At precisely 10.00 am Yasha Mudgal donned work attire and took part in the “Shramdaan” (voluntary labor) activities with unwavering enthusiasm. The atmosphere was charged with a sense of shared responsibility and purpose as everyone came together to clean and rejuvenate the Cooperative Complex.

Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner Secretary stated, “Cleanliness is not just a duty; it’s a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi’s vision for a clean and self-reliant India. Today’s event exemplifies our collective commitment to his ideals and our resolve to contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment for all.”

The cooperative community in Jammu and Kashmir has consistently shown its dedication to social causes, and this event was yet another testament to their sense of responsibility towards the community and the environment.

The participants worked tirelessly, demonstrating their unity and passion for a cleaner tomorrow. Their efforts were a shining example of how collective action can make a significant difference in creating a cleaner, greener, and healthier nation.

The event concluded on a high note, with heartfelt gratitude expressed towards all participants, volunteers, and cooperative society members who contributed towards making this Swachhata Hi Seva event a resounding success.

As the nation approaches Mahatma Gandhi’s 154th birth anniversary on the 2nd of October, such initiatives serve as a fitting tribute to the Father of the Nation and his timeless principles.
