Poshan abhiyan Maah concludes at Zaingair

Sep 30:Poshan abhiyan Maah today concluded at duroo zaingair marking the end of month-long activities under the Prime Minister’s outreach program of Poshan Abhiyaan in baramullah district during September.

ADC Sopore S A Raina (KAS),CDPO Zaiingair Mr Fayaz Ahmad Tantry,ZEO Dangerpora Mohd Akbar Wani, Supervisors,Staff members and,Supervisor Gazali,Parvaiz Ahmad khawaja, workers, helpers of Anganwadi centres, villagers of zaingair participated in the closing ceremony.

On the occasion, the CDPO appreciated the efforts of the field workers including Anganwadi workers, and supervisors who have ensured the implementation of different government schemes on the ground.

He spoke about eradicating malnutrition and highlighted the achievements besides informing about future plans and targets.

The CDPO said during the month, the ICDS Department worked tirelessly in a mission mode to identify malnourished children and provided them adequate nutrition and healthcare.He said that convergence among departments especially Health and Education is the key to tackle malnutrition among children.

The health workers emphasized for improving nutritional outcomes for children, adolescent girls, pregnant women and lactating mothers and also suggested for creating a micronutrient environment in every village.
