Residential Structure in Kishtwar Engulfed in Fire, Livestock Perish

In a tragic incident that unfolded early this morning, a residential structure Kishtwar village, belonging to Mr. Maqbool Choupan was engulfed in flames.

An official told that the building, which was primarily utilized for housing cattle and sheep, faced a sudden and devastating fire outbreak.

Upon receiving the distress call, the local police authorities swiftly responded and rushing to the spot. Working promptly and in coordination with the residents of the area, they attempted to bring the fire under control, aiming to minimize the damage caused.

The officer said despite the efforts, an estimated number of 6 cattle and approximately 80 to 90 sheep and goats were unable to be rescued and perished in the unfortunate incident.

However, no loss of human life has been reported, providing some relief amidst the tragedy. (KS)
