DC Kishtwar launches documentary on Shree Hudh Mata Yatra

KISHTWAR, SEPTEMBER 27: The picturesque district of Kishtwar joined the global celebration of World Tourism Day 2023 under the overarching theme of “Tourism and Green Investment,” as designated by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). This theme emphasizes the urgency for strategic investments aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals, fostering a sustainable and resilient tourism sector by 2030.

In a significant event, Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav inaugurated a documentary on the Shree Hudh Mata Yatra.

CEO Kishtwar Development Authority Dr Rishi Kumar Sharma,Joint Director Planning Mohd Iqbal, BDO Tariq Sarvardi among others remained present on the occasion.

The documentary, a collaborative effort between the District Administration Kishtwar and Kishtwar Development Authority,aims to intricately capture and showcase the spiritual essence, cultural significance, and the profound journey associated with this revered pilgrimage in the Kishtwar district.

Besides the documentary highlighting the trekking opportunity to the work famous Bharama Peak, along with several other captivating destinations of Dachhan area.

During the launch, DC Kishtwar encouraged local media bloggers to leverage their influence in promoting the tourism sites of Kishtwar through engaging and informative content.

As part of the celebrations, a cleanliness drive was organized at prominent locations including Chowgan Ground Kishtwar, TRC Chatroo, and Mughalmaidan. This initiative aimed to instill a sense of responsibility and environmental consciousness among the community members.

Simultaneously, educational activities were held at TRC Mughalmaidan, including a painting competition, essay writing competition, and a symposium.

CEO Kishtwar Development Authority, Dr. Rishi Kumar Sharma, graced the occasion, accompanied by AO Kishtwar Development Authority and the teaching staff of participating schools.

Over 40 students from various schools in the Mughalmaidan area actively participated in these events, adding to the significance of the World Tourism Day celebration.

The enthusiasm of the participating students was acknowledged with the presentation of trophies and medals, reinforcing the importance of nurturing talent and creativity within the community.

Highlighting the commitment to cleanliness and hygiene, a Swachhata Rally Cum Cleanliness Drive was organized at the famous tourist spot Potato Farm Sinthan. This initiative, conducted under the directive of DC Kishtwar and the meticulous supervision of ACP Kishtwar, witnessed active participation from Team RDD Inderwal & Thakrie.

As the district of Kishtwar embraces the spirit of World Tourism Day 2023, it reaffirms its dedication to sustainable tourism practices and the holistic development of its tourism sector.
