KULGAM, SEPTEMBER 20: The District Industries Centre (DIC) Kulgam today organized an awareness programme at Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Khuri Batapora D.H Pora Kulgam.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, who was chief guest on the occasion, virtually attended the programme.
During the programme, DC highlighted various self-employment schemes like PMEGP, NCSS, MSME Tejaswini, Mumkin, PM Vishwakarma etc and advised the participants to avail the benefits of these self-employment schemes.
He also highlighted the Land allotment process of different Industrial Estates of District Kulgam along with achievements of ITI in aspirational blocks of Block Manzgam and DK Marg.
General Manager, DIC, Bashir Ahmad, spoke about industrialization and its importance and sensitized the participants about the different schemes of Industries and Commerce Department and recently launched PM Vishwakarma Scheme.
He also sensitized the participants about prevailing drug addiction and urged the participants to stay away from such activities and stay focused to achieve their goals and delivered a special session regarding career counseling during the programme.
Other resource persons also apprised participants about MSMEs.
The programme was followed by a question answer session and witnessed a threadbare discussion between the participants and speakers of DIC.
Principal ITI K.B .Pora, Faculty Members of ITI, Officers/Officials of DIC Kulgam were present in the programme.
