Ramban: Rs 1.90 crore released as Lower Education Assistance in favour of wards of Registered Workers

RAMBAN, SEPTEMBER 19: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mussarat Islam today released Rs.1,91,39,500 as ‘Lower and Education Assistance’ in favour of 4463 children of Workers registered with Jammu and Kashmir Building and other Construction Workers Welfare Board in the district.

The released amount has been transferred to bank accounts of the beneficiaries through DBT mode.

Speaking on the occasion, the DC said that the Labour Department has implemented a range of welfare schemes which have been launched by the Government to provide financial assistance to registered construction workers for the education of their children and welfare of their families.

As per Assistant Labour Commissioner, Dr. Shushant Mahajan, an amount of Rs. 1,91,39,500 as Lower Education Assistance has been transferred directly into the beneficiaries’ bank accounts.

He advised the labour card holders to get their card renewed well in time to take benefits from beneficiary oriented schemes of the department.
