Sumbal: Late Wani Bilal Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament was kicked start on Sunday here at Sports Ground Naidkhai area in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

The tournament was inaugurated by Engineer Mohd Afzal Wani beside him Rafqat Sonawari and Members of Naidkhai Cricket Association was also present on the occasion.

The tournament is being organized by Cricket Association Naidkhai in which 32 teams will participate in the tournament

The first inaugural match was played between RCC Srinagar and SCC Naidkhai which was won by SCC Naidkhai by 60 runs and SDPO Sumbal Abid Rashid was declared player of the match for his excellent batting performance he scored 47 important runs off 25 ball for his team and Ashiq Ahmad declared game changer of match he tooked important 4 wickets in his balling spell.
The match was witnessed an enthusiastic gathering of cricket fans along with distinguished guests.

Speaking to media Rafqat Sonawari expressed his appreciation for the sporting talent in Kashmir and urged the youngesters to give their best effort in every sport they play.
He hoped that the students would reach higher levels in sports, such as Indian team.

The tournament will continue in the coming days, with the winner set to be crowned at the end of the competition
