DDC Kupwara presides over  Mega Block Divas at far-flung Moori Kalaroos

As part of the weekly Block Diwas initiative launched by the Government of J&K, the District Development Commissioner (DDC)Kupwara, Ms.Ayushi Sudan (IAS) today presided over proceedings of Mega Block Divas programme at Far-flung Moori Panchayat of Block Kalaroos.

During the Block Divas programme, local residents and PRIs thanked Ayushi Sudan for visiting Moori Panchayat and said that Ms.Ayushi Sudan is first DC to visit Moori and chair Block Divas proceedings.They apprised the DDC about various issues related to augmentation of water supply schemes and electricity, construction of Moori road , grid station in Kalaroos, Patwar -khana , bank counter in Moori and Nagsari, Mobile network, Animal and Sheep Husbandry centres at Moori and other demands of public importance.

The DDC patiently listened to all the issues and demands put forth by the public and PRIs and directed the concerned officers to prioritise the basic issues of people.

DDC while presiding over the proceedings said that people here have grievances regarding basic amenities and Government is committed to provide these basic facilities.
DDC said that the demands of locals regarding construction of road under PMGSY and mobile network connectivity will be taken up with government.

DDC thanked locals for warmly welcoming her and said that Moori is a beautiful village but with a tough terrain.
Ayushi Sudan urged people to come forward and take benefit of different centrally sponsored schemes and programmes and support and Co-operate government.

Member, District Development Council Kalaroos, Ch.Mustaffa Rahi thanked District Development Commisioner Kupwara for presiding over Mega Block Divas at Moori and listening to demands and grievances of public.He appreciated all departments for reaching out to the people on their door steps.
Earlier officers of different departments disseminated information to the audience about different centrally sponsored schemes and programmes.

Block Divas was attended by JD planning, ASP Kupwara, BDC Kalaroos Ms.Attiqa, CEO Kupwara, CMO Kupwara, Chief Agriculture Officer Kupwara, EXen PHE, BDO Kalaroos and other district and Sectoral officers of all Line Departments, PRIs, and a large number of people of Moori and other adjoining habitations.
