SHOPIAN, SEPTEMBER 11: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Faz Lul Haseeb today undertook a visit to different areas of the Town to oversee and assess the progress of works and traffic management in the town.
He visited Sofanaman, Gagran, Zero point and other areas and asked for making all possible efforts to ensure the smooth traffic at the busiest intersections of the town.
The DC took onsite appraisal of the widening of Sofanaman- Pinjoora road and directed the concerned executing agency to speed up the work by deploying additional men and machinery and complete the works as soon as possible.
The DC gave on spot directions to concerned officers to remove the bottlenecks immediately so that works are completed on time.
He also asked the concerned engineering wing to monitor the progress on a daily basis and said that it will also bring significant change in the movement of traffic flow in the Town.
The DC was accompanied by ARTO Shopian, Tehsildar Shopian, Executive Engineer (R&B), JEs and others.
