Secy Revenue, senior officers interact with beneficiaries, PRIs, Revenue officers across J&K

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 09: Secretary Revenue department, Dr. Piyush Singla and other senior officers of the department today interacted with beneficiaries, PRIs and Revenue officers across the length and breadth of UT of Jammu and Kashmir during the weeklong Bhrashtachar Mukht Week.

The officers engaged with Revenue Officers at the District and Tehsil levels to discuss crucial matters like status of online services, dissemination of information about online services to public, challenges encountered in service delivery, additional services that could be included under the Public Service Guarantee Act, 2011, progress of the Auto Appeal System, backlog of services covered under PSGA and the measures being taken to address this backlog.

A particular emphasis was also placed on ensuring the implementation of E-Office at the District, Tehsil, and Nayabat levels to enhance transparency and efficiency within the system.

The officers conducted a thorough review of the resolution of Regular Departmental Action cases and corruption complaints.

During the interaction, the Secretary stressed the importance of promptly resolving corruption-related cases and warned that strict action would be taken against officers who shielded erring officials. He also called for the establishment of regular progress monitoring mechanisms at the district level to address this issue.

During the interactions, positive feedback was received from all parties involved. The PRIs and beneficiaries who engaged with the officers expressed their satisfaction with the transparent systems that had been put in place. They shared their personal experiences of seeking services, including the time taken for service delivery and the officials’ prompt response aimed at ensuring timely provision of services.
