LCMA continues demolition drive against illegal constructions

SRINAGAR, SEPTEMBER 09 In order to curb the menace of illegal constructions, the Lake Conservation & Management Authority through its Enforcement Wing today under the supervision of Enforcement Officer the department undertook a special demolition drive in the area of WFR in which several illegal constructions were demolished / removed.

These includes 02 tin walls, 01 Ten shed, 01 Wooden 3rd storey & 01 Single storey. Also illegal earth filling was also removed in the Babe-demb area which was dumped by some unknown persons.

Besides, legal action has also been initiated against the violators.

The Special demolition drives will be continued within LCMA Jurisdiction especially in Green Belt (200 mts) and the violators will be dealt under law.

Therefore, people within LCMA Jurisdiction are time and again warned not to resort to any kind of illegal construction / encroachments within LCMA Jurisdiction especially Green Belt (200 mts).

Moreso, people residing within the LCMA residential area are requested to get proper building permission from the competent authority before taking any construction work in hand, otherwise, strict action shall be taken against them.
