Huge turnout as 54 Battalion organizes free Medical Camp at Shalimar

The 54 Battalion of Srinagar Sector, CRPF organized a free medical camp at the iconic Imambara of Shalimar, Srinagar. The medical camp, having received wide publicity, witnessed huge turnout from the local residents as well as those from nearby villages and localities. Organized under the aegis of CRPF’s Srinagar Sector and the guidance of Srinagar South Range, the medical camp received heartfelt appreciation from the residents and people of prominence in the locality. The Imambara Committee welcomed this noble initiative of CRPF and extended its full support in making the event a grand success.

Shri Prabhat Kumar Sandwar, CO 54 Battalion supervised the camp and interacted with the residents who had approached the camp for medical consultation and medicines. A team of Doctors and healthcare personnel from 54 Battalion and Sub Divisional Hospital, Hazratbal rendered the requisite medical advice and assistance. Notably, this is the second medical camp organized by 54 Battalion within a fortnight. The last camp was organized on the 26th of last month near Police Station Harwan which had also received formidable footfall and appreciation from the locals.

Appreciating the locals for reposing their faith in CRPF and participating in the medical camp, Shri Prabhat Kumar Sandwar, CO informed that the practice of reaching out to the citizens in the area of deployment is imbibed in the culture of CRPF and the personnel of 54 Battalion will continue to go beyond the call of duty to help the citizens in need.
