BDOs, Engineers asked to focus on timely completion of projects

DODA, AUGUST 30: The implementation of Rural Development Department Schemes and Estimation process of Capex budget for the year 2023-24 was discussed here today at a meeting of the Officers chaired by Assistant Commissioner Development, Phulail Singh.

The meeting was attended by XEN- REW, Pankaj Sharma, all Block Development Officers, besides Assistant Engineers, Junior Engineers, and other concerned officers.

XEN-REW briefed the meeting about the status of ongoing developmental works and projects under District Capex and Area Development grants.

The ACD reviewed the progress of estimation, tendering, allotment, and execution of developmental works in detail. The Assistant Engineer and Junior Engineer of REW and JEs of other Departments assigned additional charge of Panchayats in REW were directed to ensure cent-per-cent estimation of all the approved works.

The ACD also emphasized the importance of completion of projects before the onset of winter season and the BDOs were instructed to achieve the target of one Amritsarovar in every panchayat as this is one of the deliverables for the Rural Development Department.

Stress was also laid on the implementation of key governance initiatives like use of Area officer App, National Mobile Monitoring system, Jan Nagrani application, social audit and e- service portal for online job card issuance under MGNREGA.
