KULGAM, AUGUST 30: The District Administration Kulgam today organized a public outreach programme under weekly Block Diwas in three blocks of the district viz. Devsar, Kulgam and D.H Pora to take appraisal of the public issues, grievances and demands.

To take first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat presided over the grievance redressal camp at Kulgam.

The grievance redressal programme witnessed participation of people from Khull, Awhatoo, Areh, Okey, Pahloo, Yaripora, Brazloo, Pombay, Oodora and other areas.

Public representatives and people of these areas apprised the DC about their issues and grievances besides projecting various developmental demands of their areas.

Officers and heads of departments also responded to the queries and grievances of the people pertaining to their departments and intimated them about various welfare schemes and ongoing developmental projects.

The DC after giving patient hearing to the public addressed some of the immediate nature of grievances on the spot.

He also added that prompt redressal of public grievances is the priority of administration and instructed the officers to ensure prompt response in mitigation of public issues and grievances.

Earlier, Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), Kulgam, Mohmmad Imran Khan also briefed about the action taken on various grievances and issues raised in previous Block Diwas.
