DC reviews implementation Agriculture, allied sector schemes in district Udhampur

Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Saloni Rai today reviewed the implementation of various flagship schemes in Agriculture and allied sectors in the district here at a meeting held in Mini Conference Hall DC Office Complex.

While reviewing the sector wise performance, the DC asked officers of agriculture and allied departments to create awareness among the masses about the different income generating schemes by organizing camps in their respective areas.

She exhorted the officers to rejuvenate working to achieve optimum results on the ground so that benefits of development percolate to the masses at grassroots level.

She added that participation in the planning process is mandatory for effective implementation of government schemes so that benefits of schemes reach genuine beneficiaries.

The DC also appreciated the initiatives taken by the Agriculture Department for implementation of various schemes on the ground. She stressed on promotion of organic farming to increase farmers income as organic crops are highly remunerative and health protective.

The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Mudassir Yaqoob Zargar; Chief Agriculture Officer, Sanjay Anand and other senior officers of various departments attended the meeting.
