Yatra started on 19th of August from Shiv Mandir Baradari, from where it resumed forward travel via Sungri, Salal, Arnas, Dharmari, Mahore and night halt at Sungri. A large number of devotees accompanied Yatra and also set up langers at Mahore.

SDM Mahore, who was overall incharge of the yatra, also accompanied the pilgrims up to the lake site.

After a night halt at Sungri, the Yatra resumed on 20th of August from Sungri and night halt at Sari, where a lot of devotees participated.

District administration Reasi managed to provide water supply at the remote mountain. Apart from water supply, a toilet complex was also installed for the pilgrims to prevent open defecation.

District administration Reasi had set up Yatra registration counters at Sungri, where devotees were also examined medically for required fitness.

Locals from villages of Malikot, Singlikote, Sarsote, Mamankote, Nandkote etc also joined Yatra.

On 21st August the Yatra started from Sari via Jadi Wali, Gourban and Kouser Gali and reached Kousernag Sarovar where 1000 people performed Pooja/Havan and took dip in the waters of the Kousernag Lake.

The devotees were accompanied by security forces from the Reasi and Kulgam side as well.

The devotees hailed the arrangements made by the district administration Reasi, Army and the J&K Police for organizing the Yatra despite many odds.
