Under the banner Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign, NSS unit of GDC Tangdhar organised a mega Prabhat Pheri in peripheral villages of Tangdhar Block covering some areas Bagh Bela, Gomal, Shamaspora and Budwan. Both male and female NSS volunteers participated in Prabhat Pheri and carried out a rally by holding National flag in one hand and maati in other hand. Later on students were taken to a nearby tourist spot named Danna, which was recently in news due littering of plastics waste. The volunteers carried out a cleanliness drive there and cleared it from plastic waste in presence of accompanying staff. Both the activities were carried out under the supervision of NSS Programme Officer Dr. Parvaiz Ahmad.
