Takes stock of work scenario in the district
To ensure the effective implementation of nutrition interventions in the district, Mission Director (MD) POSHAN J&K, Rubeena Kowsar, Friday visited Bandipora to evaluate the progress of ongoing initiatives, strategizing future actions and eradicating malnutrition.
The Mission Director took a detailed review of schemes of POSHAN in District Bandipora including PMMVY, POSHAN Tracker, SNP, ECCE, Geo tagging of AWCs, disbursal of Honorarium & Rent besides Expenditure under various heads.
During the visit, the MD held a review meeting with key concerned officers. The meeting discussed the achievements, challenges and opportunities in the district on nutrition-focused programs. She emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in achieving the goals set forth by the POSHAN Abhiyan.
Taking stock of the work scenario, she took a detailed feed back from the concerned officers regarding various nutrition centers, anganwadi facilities and beneficiary households.
On the occasion she engaged with local field workers, listened to their feedback and reiterated the commitment of department for ensuring every child and mother receives adequate nutrition for a healthier future.
The MD said that the progress witnessed in Bandipora motivates us to intensify our efforts towards building a malnutrition-free society.
On the occasion District Programme Officer/Nodal Officer Coordination Mohammad Ashraf Hakak said the review meeting and interaction with field workers have set the stage for renewed energy and collaboration, reinforcing the belief that a well-nourished population is pivotal to the progress of Nation.
