15 Aug 23, Karnah. 77th Independence day was celebrated with all pomp and gaiety at various locations of Karnah.The people from this region carried out various rallies and social events as run up to Independence day celebration which included Tiranga rally, cultural events, mini marathon etc.
Independence Day celebration was organised at various location viz Mini Secretariat, Boys High School Tangdhar, Iqra Model Middle School Kandi and New Light Public School, Tangdhar.
The events included hoisting of Indian National Flag by the Chief Guest Dr Gulzar Ahmed, SDM Karnah amidst the soothing symphony of National Anthem by the attendees. The Independence day events were attended by Officers and JCOs of the Indian Army, DDC, Police representatives and local Sarpanches.
A speacial programme to felicitate the locals who have brought laurels to the Karnah region was organised which was followed by enthralling cultural performances. In a remarkable display of patriotism and unity educational institutions and administrative establishments all across Karnah under the aegis of Indian National Flag.
The events culminated with sapling plantation, distribution of sweets and patriotic fervor.
